The views in Colorado are BREATHTAKING! We stopped several times as we drove to Durango to check out waterfalls and natural hot springs off the side of the road.
We took a mine tour near Silverton. It was SO interesting and lots of fun. We all got dressed in raincoats and helmets and went deep into the mountain. The kids got to participate in the tour and interact with the guide. Sawyer was a little nervous about the whole thing, but loved the train ride and panning for gold at the end.
We checked out the cute little town of Ouray. We drove on what’s called the “Million-Dollar Highway” to get there. The road wound through the mountains & at many points there were no guard rails & only inches of a shoulder 0ff of the sheer cliffs. It was terrifying, beautiful, & fun all at once!

Ben's brother and his wife have recently taken some trips to Colorado and they've been raving at how amazing the scenery is - I need to go! :)
