We scored this really fun hotel in Orlando for an amazing $29 a night! I love the internet. The room was pretty nice and the kids liked the bunk beds, but the best part was that it had an actual water park complete with slides and a lazy river included . I don’t know where everyone else was, but we were seriously the ONLY people out there along with the lifeguards. We had just a little over an hour to play before we needed to head out to the port, but we couldn’t leave without trying out the slides.
Here’s Greg getting his last iPhone fix. Once we set sail there was NO cell service at all unless we wanted to pay international roaming charges. It was GREAT!
So once we were all dried off, we headed to Port Canaveral to board the cruise ship. The kids were surprised at how HUGE the ship was. We spent the first few hours exploring, swimming and eating (of course!). Just sitting out on the deck listening to the steel drum band and checking out the view was so fun.
We took full advantage of the ice cream machine on the top deck. I seriously have no idea how many ice cream cones we ate over three days. The kids became experts at making the perfect swirl cone.
You’ve got to play shuffle board on a cruise, right?
So much fun! But there is still more…
